After spending time in different labs and working on various organisms from Rice plants to Dengue virus, I finally settled in Danny's lab for my doctoral degree. Here, everyday I ask various questions ( sometimes interesting) about how different cells in the brain are affected during Ageing and sometimes I find exciting answers!

I am currently in the third semester of my master's degree in biochemistry at Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. From mid-February to mid-June, I will be part of the Frenkel Lab. My goal is to develop a protocol for co-culturing primary dopaminergic neurons with, for example, microglial cells. Successful establishment would allow neurodegeneration and pathological changes in the cells to be studied further, and by understanding the processes that occur, potential drugs can be found and evaluated.
